We now stock our own 100% wool from the quality fleeces of Blue Faced Leicester sheep that are here in Hawes. The Blue Faced Leicesters are bred with the Swaledale sheep to produce a better sheep for the farmers needs. Whilst the Swaledale fleeces are quite coarse, the Blue Faced Leicesters are one of the best for wearing. Soft and bouncy, they really are a high quality fleece to make beautiful wool from, which is why we do it. We buy the fleeces direct from the farmers, they are gently hand washed without any chemicals and spun in Yorkshire, in fact its a true Yorkshire natural product.
In addition we have a small selection of other wool and yarns by the Wensleydale Longwool Shop, West Yorkshire Spinners and Sirdar. Matching yarn patterns are available in most cases.
